This September, we will be celebrating some pretty enormous milestones at our restaurants. We will be marking 30 years since we opened Simpsons and 10 years since we launched The Cross.
It’s hard to express how much this means to me, my wife Alison, and our teams, who have been through so much with us over the years. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve achieved, from holding Michelin stars at both restaurants for such huge lengths of time to consistently serving innovative, seasonally changing menus.
These milestones are testament to our two chef directors, Luke Tipping and Adam Bennett, who have been with us since the early days. You both have been pivotal in the success of these wonderful restaurants. I truly cannot thank you enough.
And, of course, where would we be without our guests? I hope you know how grateful we are for your friendship, support and custom. It’s such an honour to serve and entertain you.
So, to celebrate these anniversaries, our chefs have created special menus running throughout September. Each menu features nostalgic dishes that bring back fond memories but which have been reimagined with new techniques and modern touches. At Simpsons, try our three-course menu, whereas at The Cross, we'll be offering a full tasting menu.
In addition, both restaurants will be hosting one-off collaborative dinners with exciting guest chefs. Simpsons will be teaming up with local grill masters Meat Shack, whilst Adam will be joined by ex-Cross alumnus Kristian Curtis
We hope to see you during our month of celebrations,
Andreas Antona, chef/owner
