Celebrating 30 Years of Simpsons
This year marks 30 years since we opened the doors at Simpsons, and we want to celebrate with you, our loyal guests and friends.
Our official anniversary takes place in September, and to celebrate this huge milestone, I have worked with long-standing chef director Luke Tipping, to create a special three-course menu which will be available for the whole month, featuring dishes from the past three decades but with a few modern flourishes.
We’ve spent the past few weeks reading through old menus and reminiscing about the early days of the restaurant and the way dining out has changed since. So for our anniversary, we thought it fitting to offer an à la carte menu, harking back to a time pre-tasting menus.
Each dish that has been chosen has a special memory for us, whether it be a firm favourite amongst our regulars or because it has a happy association like the “Crème Caramel, Red Wine Pear, Chocolate Sorbet” which was Luke’s dessert when he won Midland Chef of the Year in 1999. Browse the menu.
Our anniversary three-course menu will be available for both lunch and dinner from Friday 1st until Saturday 30th September.
And after the success of our event with Stu Deeley, we can't get enough of the grill, so we'll be hosting an anniversary Simpsons & Friends dinner with our friends from Meat Shack on Wednesday 6th September. We're working together to create an extra-special collaboration burger! More details to be announced very soon.
We hope to see you soon,
Andreas, Luke and the Simpsons team
